The brief
Nobody asked for this. I wanted to know how something worked, so I made it. Three pieces: a portfolio video introducing myself, a brand animation for Snitz, and a typographic video built entirely out of type.
My approach
Each piece had one thing I wanted to figure out: keyframes, cutting to music, or just an effect I'd seen somewhere. I started without a plan and stopped when it worked.
The result
At the time I thought that portfolio video was the best thing I'd made. Now I mostly see what I'd do differently — which is exactly why it's here. You can see the gap between that and what I make now, and the gap is the point.
