The brief

I did an internship at Tour de Tietema, working on video content for the channel: the Mission Giro series during the Giro d’Italia, two Philips OneBlade campaigns and one-off social videos.

My approach

During the Giro we worked with same-day edits. Footage came in over an Atomos proxy and I always cut it together with a second editor — we split every video into parts so we both kept an overview. Editing, colour and sound design were ours. Everything then went back to the camera operator on location, who put it online. For Philips I delivered each campaign in both 9:16 and 16:9, in three lengths: 20, 15 and 8 seconds, after a few rounds of feedback.

The result

My edits were actually published on the channel. That's the biggest difference from schoolwork: it had to be finished, on time, and people saw it. The pressure during the Giro was the hardest part. It taught me to decide faster and stop polishing something that's already good enough.
